Who are they?

Fashion for Good is a Sweden-based platform for sustainable fashion innovation. Their aim is to take the fashion industry away from the ‘take-make-waste’ model to a circular good fashion approach. Fashion for Good aims to achieve this via collaboration, alongside this; they have an innovation platform which is made up of three programmes: accelerator, scaling programme and good fashion fund. This platform tackles ways in which innovation can bring out the ‘good’ in fashion on different scales.

What are they doing?

Fashion for Good have an interactive museum for sustainable fashion which allows the public to see how their clothes were made. The building is immersed with innovation and tips on how to think and, shop sustainably. Fashion for Good have quite an affluent list of partners, from luxury house Chanel to sports giant Adidas to HSBC. The Fashion for Good Experience allows the public to digitally interact with the museum whilst committing to actions and earning badges as a form of reward. This then leads to a personalised Good Fashion Action Plan delivered to the persons inbox. In addition, Fashion for Good allows you to customise t-shirts and many more at their museum, all in the bid to promote sustainable fashion.

Projects:

·     Call for collaboration - Launched in March 2017, it is open to everyone in the apparel industry and it connects various members of the various sectors of the apparel industry together.

·     South Asia innovation programme – aims to bring together global and local expertise and innovators especially in raw materials, manufacturing and many more. It also offers mentoring from industry experts and its partners with the goal of investment opportunities.

Fibre Lab X Fashion for Good

As Fashion for Good is into innovation which aids sustainability, Fibre Lab could use Fashion for Good’s “Innovation Platform” which connects those behind innovations to brands, retailers etc. This would be a good opportunity for FibreLab to make connections and create relationships with brands which they can work with in the future. Additionally, this will help in FibreLab proposing to brands when the urban fibreshed is set up as Fashion for Good will be a reputable backing for them.

Secondly, Fashion for Good and Fibre Lab can collaborate via social media. Fashion for Good could take over Fibre Labs Instagram account for a day. This could include an IGTV interview, online workshop via Instagram live, two or three interactive posts about sustainability; this can also be the other way round (Fibre Lab doing this on Fashion for Good Instagram page).

Thirdly, a pop-up could take place with both Fibre Lab and Fashion for Good where different innovators set up a mini showcase of their innovations and could talk about them and the impacts they would have on the fashion industry.
