PAPERTEX is a 100% recycled cotton handmade paper. Our main material sources are post-industrial waste from the hospitality industry, and offcuts from the garment manufacturing process, that are too small or damaged to be reused or repurposed. We recycle these in our Hackney Wick studio and send the recycled fibre to one of our partner paper mills to be turned into individual handmade papers. The papers are then cut to size in house. At FibreLab, we keep production as local as possible - most of what we do takes place in London, and the entire process of producing PAPERTEX takes place within the UK.
